Racing

Where stars become champions.

Halcyon Springs Stable (HSS) offers opportunities in thoroughbred racing through HSS racing syndicates. The HSS racing program is focused on horses that are PA-bred and Delaware certified for racing in the Mid-Atlantic area. Most racing will take place at Pennsylvania tracks where the incentives and purse winnings for PA-breds are second to none. HSS race horses will be stabled and trained at Fair Hill Training Center in Fair Hill, MD. Each racing syndicate consists of one thoroughbred of racing age. Most will be HSS 2 year olds bred in PA and certified in DE.

If the sire of any HSS race horse is either a MD sire or NY sire, the offspring are eligible for restricted races in those states. If sired by a MD sire they are eligible for the MD Million races, or if sired by a NY sire they are eligible for NY sired stake races. Delaware certified horses are eligible for both additional purse money and restricted races when racing in DE.

Having horses that are PA-bred, Delaware certified, and potentially sired by either a MD or NY sire gives the syndicate an advantage as there are multiple options for restricted races and/or races with additional purse money/owner awards.
